The Moral of the Story

Olivia Lancaster has it all: the glamorous New York City lifestyle, the best friend a girl could ask for, and her dream job as the personal assistant to one of the most famous contemporary artists in the world. The only thing she can’t seem to find is a decent guy. The closest she’s come is her drop-dead gorgeous co-worker, Alston, who just happens to be gay.

When Liv’s world turns upside down, her best friend, Vieve, helps her to see tragedy as the opportunity of a lifetime. Vieve, a bestselling author, hires Liv as her personal assistant, and together, the pair set off on a whirlwind world tour. City after city, event after event, the girls take the international literary and dating scenes by storm.

Through a series of increasingly hilarious escapades, Liv comes to realize that sometimes things don’t work out, sometimes best friends can make a real mess of things, and sometimes it just takes a little living to realize what you want in life.

Live Ever

When her world crumbles around her, twenty-eight year old Emma Thorne leaves the life she knew behind to embark on an uncharacteristically impulsive journey of growth and self-discovery that takes her across an ocean and through the footsteps of her favorite poet, John Keats.

Stuck in a dead-end job at a soul-sucking law firm in Washington D.C., Emma has absolutely no love life. Her stagnant existence is dismal while everyone around her, it seems, is met with effortless, fulfilling success. Pining after her childhood crush while envying her glamorous, successful best friend, Emma finds herself going through the motions. Her only respite lies in daydreams of life as described by her most revered romantic poets.

Emma’s life suddenly changes in one disastrous night. In the face of heartbreaking betrayal, she forgoes practicality to follow her dreams and move to London where she begins an internship at Keats House, the historic house where John Keats lived, wrote some of his most famous poems, and fell in love.

In her new life abroad, Emma begins a journey through which she finds herself, true friendship and ultimately love. She learns that the most remarkable things happen when one seizes the chance to live life to the fullest.

A Lover's Complaint

Most people would describe Beatrice Mulligan as a free spirit. Others might say she's, well, a bit uninhibited. Some might call her something worse entirely. But the way she sees it, one should always seize the day, which to her means having the freedom to do whatever she pleases whenever she wants without having to worry about the horrendous confines of a relationship.

When Beatrice, a rising star in the world of microbiology, is offered the chance to serve as the lead researcher for an innovative study on the Ebola virus, she can’t say no. Leaving London for Florence, Beatrice takes on gorgeous Italian lover after lover. But, her cynical notions of love take an unexpected turn. Although she hits some snags along the way, she finally sees what all of these women have been talking about and decides that love is worth the many risks.

A work-hard, play-hard, European adventure for the modern woman, A Lover’s Complaint interweaves modern fiction with classic poetry, drawing inspiration from quotations by the great literary mind of William Shakespeare.
